Relaxed, refreshed, and grounded, we will venture out into the city to dine on traditional Egyptian food at the beautiful
Enjoy authentic Egyptian cuisines at the Citadel View Restaurant at Al Azhar Park
Day 3
To beat the heat we head out early to explore the Saqqara pyramid complex and the ancient city of Memphis
Visit a traditional carpet school
Explore some recently discovered treasures
Return to the hotel for an afternoon refresh before another dining experience with a view at the Cairo tower
Finish off the evening with a stroll along the Nile
Day 4
Visit the iconic Pyramids of Giza
Maybe climb inside the Great Pyramid
Ride a camel or take a horse and carriage ride
Learn how papyrus paper is made
After a traditional Egyptian lunch spend the afternoon exploring acclaimed Civilization Museum.
Retire early and pack for a 2 day getaway to the Mediterranean coast in Alexandria
Days 5 & 6
Alexandria
We will embark on a three hour roadtrip to the north coast of Egypt to the land of Cleopatra
Visit the ancient landmarks: Bibliotheca Alexandria, Lighthouse, and Ancient Roman Amphitheater, and the recently renovated Eliahu Hanavi Synagogue
Enjoy the beach on the famous Mediterranean Sea
Dine on incredibly fresh seafood
Enjoy five star Mediterranean view accommodations for one night
Day 7
Explore Coptic Christian Cairo including the Hanging Church of St. Mary.
Walk in sacred prayer spaces in the footsteps of millions before you with several unique and historic churches.
Visit the Coptic Museum
Eat delicious authentic Egyptian food
Day 8
Get a birds eye view of the city at the Cairo Citadel of Saladin and Mohamed Ali
Take in the beauty of the grand mosque, Mohamad Ali
Learn about the history that build Cairo as we know it today at the Egyptian Military Museum
Visit the Cairo Necropolis -Cities of the Dead-an ancient Islamic and modern burial ground
Explore the timeless crafts that have existed in the area for centuries.
In the evening, wander the maze in the ancient marketplace Khan el Khaleli
Day 9
We won’t be parting the Red Sea, but we will be spending the day on it
We will road trip under 2 hours to the coastal city of Ain Sokhna on the Gulf of Suez and board a boat chartered just for our group
Snorkeling and sparkling water, light food, lots of hydration, and a hot afternoon nap if you choose.
Day 10
Friday is the holy day for Muslims. We will enjoy the rhythm of the day and sleep in, enjoy a morning to ourselves, meet for some reflecting and integrated learning.
As the sun starts to go down we will head out to explore downtown Cairo at nigh
Day 11
Meet Egyptians where they live
Integrate what you have learned about yourself and the world on your journey
Participate in an expertly facilitated positive psychology workshop
Tour the New Capital, the future of Egypt
End the day dining with our extended family
Day 12
We complete our journey heading back to where we started, the Pyramids complex
Spend the day wandering the Grand Museum (slotting to open in June)
See the King Tut treasures in their full glory
Enjoy entertainment and a buffet on a Nile Dinner Cruise
Day 13
We will bid you farewell and make sure you safely arrive at the airport in time for your flight home or wherever you choose to go next
