AWAKEN YOUR SACRED PATH

April 23-May 6, 2026

This retreat is for the woman who finds herself standing at a threshold, sensing that something in her life is shifting. She is yearning to step into the next chapter of life with clarity, courage, and spiritual grounding.

If you are longing to reconnect with your authentic self, explore Egypt with reverence and curiosity, and engage in a journey rooted in depth and integrity, this experience was designed for you.

I Feel Called

Dear Sister,

There comes a time when the world grows too loud to hear yourself think let alone listen for the whispers of your Soul. When the roles you’ve carried — mother, partner, leader, caretaker — start to feel too tight for who you’re becoming. When the life you’ve built no longer fully reflects the truth of who you are.

Maybe something inside you is stirring. Not quite a crisis, but a call.
Not a breakdown, but a turning point.
A threshold.

And perhaps Egypt, in all her ancient wisdom and wild beauty, has been whispering to you.

This retreat is not an invitation to escape but instead an invitation to slow down, to listen, remember, to realign with the future within you that is trying to emerge. It is time to dare to dream of your legacy.

For 13 days, you’ll step out of the swirl of daily life and into sacred rhythm:
✨ Walking through temples older than memory
✨ Gathering in intimate circles with women on the path
✨ Listening inward at the edge of the Nile and under desert stars
✨ And letting yourself be seen, softened, and stretched — not by force, but by presence.

This isn’t just a tour. It’s a transformational journey wrapped in the arms of a place that knows what it means to endure, evolve, and embody the sacred.

If something in your chest exhales as you read these words, then maybe this invitation is for you.

With reverence and readiness,
Wendy
Founder, ThirdSpace Healing Pathways

THE JOURNEY (Activities & Itinerary)

Now for the details.

What follows is a day-by-day glimpse into Awaken Your Sacred Path. While some experiences are carefully planned, others will unfold as we go — just like any truly transformative journey. You’ll see the blend of culture, rest, connection, and reflection that makes this retreat so unique.

Day 0 — Arrival & Exhale  Your VIP Welcome Arrival in Cairo. From the moment you land, experience VIP treatment with a personal meet-and-greet at the airport. Relax as you are whisked away to luxurious Nile-view accommodations in downtown Cairo, where the beauty of the city sets the tone for the transformative journey ahead.

Day 1 — Grounding & Connection.  The city stirs to life below as you enjoy an abundant buffet breakfast with stunning views of the Nile & downtown Cairo  The morning offers space to breathe — whether that means a spa treatment, a quiet moment in the club lounge, or getting settled with intention. By early afternoon, we officially gather for our Opening Circle + Lunch, where you’ll meet your fellow travelers in person as a group for the first time. This is where the container begins. Later, we step onto a private Felucca boat and drift along the Nile — not for spectacle, but to soften into presence. As the wind catches the sail, you’ll feel yourself begin to arrive in a new way. The evening continues with dinner at Cairo Tower, where city lights stretch for miles and your perspective expands with every story shared.

Day 2 — Pyramids.  Today, we leave the city behind and step into the layered legacy of ancient Egypt. After breakfast, we board our private van and head south — where the landscape opens and the energy shifts. These aren’t just historical sites — they are places that mirror your own complexity, strength, and capacity to evolve. We start at Saqqara Necropolis at the oldest stone structure, the Saqqara step pyramid.  At Dashur, you’ll walk among lesser-visited pyramids that feel raw and unpolished — their quiet power inviting you inward. In Memphis, fragments of a once-grand capital stir the imagination, while. These are places that reflect your own complexity, strength, and capacity to evolve. Along the way, we stop for a nourishing lunch and connect with local artisans — weaving culture, craft, and conversation into the day. We return to Cairo at dusk, hearts full, perspectives widened, and our circle deepening with every shared experience.

Day 3 — And More Pyramids.  After breakfast, we visit the Grand Egyptian Museum — where light, space, and curation elevate each artifact into something alive with story. It’s a reminder of what lasts when vision meets devotion. Then we journey to the Giza Plateau — home to the Great Pyramid, the Sphinx, and thousands of years of enduring presence. This isn’t a place that demands attention. It holds it — effortlessly. We enjoy lunch with a phenomenal, iconic view of the plateau before standing at the feet of these wonders. There’s a power in standing still here — a groundedness that invites you to remember how deeply rooted you already are.

Day 4 — Museums and Wisdom.  Today is about integrating what’s been awakened so far — and listening for what’s emerging. We begin at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, where timeless artistry and cultural memory invite you to reflect on your own evolution. This is a quieter kind of encounter — one that stirs something inward. Then, we head to Maadi to Wendy’s home on the Nile. In a sun-filled apartment, we gather for an in-depth Women’s Wisdom Circle. This is the heart of the day: a sacred container designed to help you land in your body, anchor in your present, and begin to shape what comes next.Through guided meditation, creative reflection, and embodied practice, you’ll explore your inner landscape — not for answers, but for alignment. We end the day with dinner in the club lounge — the city lights below, your own clarity gently taking root.

Day 5 — Alexandria.  Today we leave the desert behind and head north — toward the Mediterranean, and a city shaped by centuries of cultural layering and sea air. We begin with breakfast on the Nile, then hit the road. Along the way, we stop for coffee and snacks at a rest house — a casual moment to stretch, sip, and take in the changing landscape. Upon arrival in Alexandria, we move at an easy pace through its most iconic sites: the seaside Citadel, the underground mystery of the catacombs, the Roman amphitheater, and the modern-day Library. Lunch is simple and on the go — designed to keep us light and flexible — and the day culminates in a long, leisurely seafood dinner as the sun begins to set over the Mediterranean. It’s the kind of view that doesn’t need embellishment. Just presence. We return to Cairo by night — full of fresh air, new impressions, and the quiet clarity that comes from changing horizons.

Day 6 — Rest and Coptic Cairo.  By now, your rhythm has shifted — and today honors that. The morning is yours to move slowly: sleep in, journal, sip tea in the club lounge, or simply be. In the late morning, we regroup and head into Coptic Cairo — where narrow streets and ancient stone buildings tell stories in whispers. We’ll visit the Hanging Church, shop the artisan stalls of the Fustat Bazaar, and walk the winding paths of the Cave Church, each space offering its own quiet sense of reverence. Late after, we head to Cairo Festival City Mall — a modern contrast where you can explore, shop, or simply people-watch at your own pace.  We will enjoy traditional American fare at one of the mall’s many courtyard restaurant

Day 7 — Islamic Cairo.  Today invites you into the layered beauty of Islamic Cairo — a sensory experience filled with history, artistry, and living tradition. We begin with breakfast, before boarding our van to the Citadel — an architectural jewel with panoramic views of the city and echoes of Egypt’s Islamic heritage. After moving through the ancient city walls, we will enjoy a view of it on the horizon from Azhar Park at the citadel view restaurant.   After lunch, we head into the legendary Khan el-Khalili bazaar and we stroll down Moez Street, where centuries-old mosques and ornate facades line the way. Here, you can wander, shop for silver, mother-of-pearl boxes, hand-poured oils, and other treasures. The energy is alive, as it has been for over 1000 years. We end the day with tea at one of Cairo’s most storied cafés where time stretches and conversation lingers.

Day 8 — Self Care Day.  After days of exploration, depth, and discovery, today invites you to slow down and turn inward. There is no scheduled group programming. Instead, you have full permission to move at your own rhythm — whether that means booking a massage, sipping tea with a journal in hand, taking a walk along the Corniche,  swimming in the hotel rooftop heated pool or simply resting in your room. You might find yourself in quiet conversation with a new sister-friend, wandering the hotel grounds in silence, or rediscovering what feels good in your body after so much movement. This day is yours. To integrate. To soften. To return to yourself before we enter the desert. Breakfast and lunch will be on your schedule at the hotel. We will convene for an evening of traditional Egyptian entertainment on a Nile dinner cruise.

Days 9–11 — Into the Oasis: Fayoum.  For three days, we step out of the known and into something quieter, wider, and less scripted. Fayoum invites a different kind of rhythm — one shaped by salt lakes and ancient wind, fossil beds and hand-thrown pottery. As we make our way from Cairo into the desert, the landscape begins to shift. The edges blur. The pace loosens. We’ll explore the Valley of the Whales, where fossilized remains lie exposed in golden sand, and pause at the cascading waters of Wadi El Rayan. Tunis Village will welcome us with its warm artisanship — pottery wheels spinning, lake breezes drifting, time slowing to something you can finally feel. There may be dune rides. There may be sandboarding. There will definitely be open sky, good food, and the kind of conversations that only happen when the noise falls away. We’ll stay in a private villa, tucked between quiet hills and star-filled nights. Meals will be shared. Space will be honored. And more than  once, we’ll circle — to begin closing what’s been opened. Fayoum isn’t here to be planned. It’s here to be experienced. You’ll leave with sand in your shoes, color in your cheeks, and a kind of clarity that arrives when you stop looking for it.

Day 12 — Integration Day.  Back at the familiar Sheraton, the city hums just outside — but something in you is different now. This day is open by design. You may feel called to journal by the window, float in the rooftop pool, book a spa treatment, or simply lay in bed and let the journey catch up with you. You’ve been expanded by temples and markets, stories and landscapes, desert winds and quiet circles. Now is the time to let it all land. To notice what wants to stay. To begin imagining how you’ll carry this version of you — the one who said yes, who showed up — back into your everyday life. There are no to-do’s. No reflections required. Just space. We’ll close the day with one final dinner together — a shared table, a soft landing, a beginning in disguise.

Day 13 — Departures.  The journey home begins. You’ll check out and head to the airport at your own pace, supported with any logistics you need. There may be long hugs. Quiet moments. Last glances at the Nile. You arrived with curiosity. You leave with something more — not just memories, but momentum. A felt sense of who you are when you choose to show up for yourself fully. This isn’t the end. It’s the return.

Meet Your Guide

For nearly three decades, my life has unfolded between the US and Egypt—geographically, spiritually, and professionally. What began as a teaching position in Cairo in the late 90s became a defining life path. Here, I embraced Islam, married my husband of 28 years, raised my daughters, and built a life rooted in cultural humility, interfaith connection, and a deep commitment to justice and human dignity.

My work sits at the intersection of holistic healing, emotional intelligence, spiritual grounding, and social awareness. I have taught, facilitated, and guided people through hard conversations, identity shifts, and life transitions—always with one intention:
to create spaces where people can see themselves, and each other, more clearly.

Egypt is where I live. And she is also my classroom, my teacher, and the landscape that continually shapes my understanding of faith, complexity, and humanity. ThirdSpace was born from that lived experience—a space between cultures and identities where honest transformation is possible.

When you travel with me, you are not entering a performance of spirituality. You are entering a grounded, integrity-filled environment built on decades of lived experience. My role is to accompany you, listen deeply, hold the container with care, and help you see what wants to emerge within you.

My retreats are shaped by these principles:

Presence over performance
Integrity over aesthetic
Spaciousness over intensity
Cultural immersion over voyeurism
Inner listening over spiritual bypass
Transformation rooted in truth, not illusion

Some of the richest explorations happen not only at the sacred sites, but in our van as we move through Egypt’s bustling streets—asking questions, comparing cultures, laughing, reflecting, and making meaning together.

Our team is dedicated to your sense of wonder, your comfort, and your ability to stay present to the transformation unfolding within you.

FAQs

  • Awaken Your Sacred Path is designed for women who want more than a sightseeing trip. At ThirdSpace, we curate an experience that blends learning and exploration, self-care and reflection, cultural immersion, and personal growth.

We travel in small groups, walk often, and move at an intentionally slow and spacious pace with rest built into every day.

Throughout the retreat, we explore ancient religious sites and examine how cultures and civilizations have engaged with the Divine across time. You don’t need to be religious, but you do need to be open—open to curiosity, open to differences, open to accessing your own internal wisdom.

If you are drawn to meaningful travel, cultural humility, and inner work—and you welcome deep conversations about spirituality, identity, and purpose—this retreat may be exactly right for you.

    • Our home base in Cairo is a beautiful downtown hotel along the Nile. We open with a spa visit, a shared meal, and time to settle in.

The days that follow include visits to:

      • The Pyramids of Giza

      • The Egyptian Museum

      • Saqqara and the Step Pyramid

      • Ancient temples, Coptic churches, mosques, synagogues

      • Cairo’s historic marketplaces

      • A full-day journey to Alexandria

We also meet local artisans, visit craft-makers, and enjoy meals in local restaurants, Egyptian homes, and our five-star hotel buffet. Dietary needs can be accommodated.

The full itinerary is posted on the retreat page and may shift slightly as we respond to timing, weather, and local conditions.

  • Egypt requires comfortable walking—sometimes on uneven surfaces, stairs, or sand. Our pace is gentle, with rest built into every day.

If you can walk 20–30 minutes at a time and navigate stairs without assistance, you will be able to participate fully.

    • All prices listed are double occupancy so you will have a roommate in a room with two beds. You will be matched with another participant or you can request someone specifically if you have a friend or family member coming along. Single occupancy room upgrades are available at an additional cost.

    • Yes.  Most of our retreats are women only. Young women aged 14 and up are welcome to join if a parent is with them.  They are expected to fully participate in the pre-trip orientation and reflection sessions during the retreat.  They will also be expected to be full participants in the experiential learning aspect of the travel course and retreat. Your male family members and friends are welcome to join Sacred Gifts of Egypt, our once a year events that are for men and women.

    • Not at all. Many of our participants are visiting Egypt—or traveling abroad—for the first time.

We offer thorough preparation beforehand, guide you through every logistical detail, and hold space for questions about culture, religion, safety, and what to expect.
You will never navigate anything alone.

    • Yes. Egypt is a very safe destination for travelers—over 15 million tourists visited in 2024.

We monitor U.S. Embassy advisories, avoid areas deemed unsafe for tourists, and encourage participants to enroll in the Embassy’s STEP program for real-time updates. Your well-being is our highest priority.

    • No. Hair covering is not required for travelers. You may choose to cover your hair when entering certain mosques as a sign of respect, but scarves are usually provided and the practice is optional in many locations.

Most Egyptian women do not expect foreigners to cover, and your normal mode of dress is perfectly acceptable as long as it is modest and comfortable. We provide cultural orientation before each site visit so you always feel prepared and confident.

    • We choose to keep our trips alcohol free.  This may not be the right group for you if you are accustomed and attached to drinking cocktails during your vacation.

    • Despite pervasive stereotypes about the Middle East and Arab world, Egypt is actually a very safe place to travel.  15 million tourists visited Egypt in 2024. We keep abreast of US Embassy in Cairo travel advisories and avoid any places that may be considered unsafe for tourists.  You can register with the US Embassy to receive your own updates.  It is good to have the embassy know you are in the country in the event of an emergency, they are available to serve you.

  • This is one of the most common hesitations women have. We encourage you to consider not just the cost of the retreat, but the cost of not giving yourself the clarity, renewal, and spaciousness you may be craving.

This is not a luxury trip—it is an investment in your well-being, purpose, and alignment.
    Flexible payment options are available.

Closing Invitation

There comes a moment in every woman’s life when the familiar tools no longer bring her clarity, and the questions she carries begin to press for a deeper kind of engagement. When this happens, the next step is not more striving—it is spaciousness, witnessing, and stepping into a place where you can hear yourself again.

Awaken Your Sacred Path is an invitation to pause the noise, step out of the roles you hold, and reconnect with the part of you that knows exactly who you are becoming. Egypt has a way of opening what has been closed, revealing what has been waiting, and grounding you in a sense of purpose that rises from within rather than from the expectations of others.

If you feel a tug, a curiosity, a quiet knowing—or even a gentle discomfort—that is often the sign that something in you is ready to shift. You do not have to be clear yet. You do not have to be confident yet. You only need to be willing.

This retreat does not offer escape. It offers engagement—with yourself, with history, with spirit, with the women who will walk beside you, and with the land that has shaped seekers for millennia.

You will not travel as a tourist.
You will travel as a woman returning to herself.

If you feel called, I would be honored to walk this path with you.

Your next step is simple:
follow the pull, trust your timing, and take the doorway that is opening before you.
